Agreement to Terms
By using grandshow.ca or engaging our entertainment services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use of our services.
About Grand Show
Grand Show is a professional entertainment company specializing in event planning and unique entertainment experiences across Canada. Our signature service includes Party Polar Bear shows, corporate events, private celebrations, and comprehensive event management.
Services Offered
Entertainment Services:
- Party Polar Bear Shows: Professional performers in high-quality polar bear costumes for year-round entertainment
- Corporate Events: Business meetings, conferences, team building, holiday parties, product launches
- Private Celebrations: Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, milestone celebrations
- Seasonal Events: Christmas parties, Canada Day celebrations, seasonal corporate events
Event Management:
- Full Event Planning: Complete coordination from concept to execution
- Venue Coordination: Assistance with venue selection and booking across Canada
- Catering Services: Food and beverage planning with trusted Canadian suppliers
- Technical Support: Audio/visual equipment, lighting, staging for all event types
Booking and Reservations
Booking Process:
- Free Consultation: Initial discussion of your event requirements and Party Polar Bear availability
- Detailed Proposal: Comprehensive proposal with services, timeline, and transparent pricing
- Service Agreement: Written contract outlining all terms and conditions
- Deposit Payment: Required deposit to secure your preferred date
- Event Coordination: Ongoing planning and communication leading to your event
Availability and Scheduling:
- All services subject to availability and advance booking requirements
- Party Polar Bear shows have limited availability and require minimum 2-week notice
- Peak seasons (December holidays, summer corporate events) require earlier booking
- Weather-dependent outdoor events include contingency planning
Pricing and Payment
Pricing Structure:
- All prices quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) including applicable taxes (GST/HST/PST)
- Party Polar Bear shows: Starting at $300 for 30 min. performance
- Corporate events: Custom pricing based on guest count and requirements
- Travel charges apply for events outside Greater Toronto Area (rates available upon request)
Payment Schedule:
- Deposit: 30% deposit required to secure booking
- Progress Payments: Additional payments for events over $5,000 CAD
- Final Payment: Balance due 7 days before event date
- Rush Bookings: Events booked less than 14 days require full payment upfront
Payment Methods:
- Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
- E-transfer to info@grandshow.ca
- Certified cheques payable to Grand Show
- Corporate accounts available for repeat clients
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Client Cancellations:
- More than 30 days: Full refund minus 15% administrative fee
- 15-30 days: 50% refund of total contract value
- 7-14 days: 25% refund of total contract value
- Less than 7 days: No refund, full payment due
Force Majeure Events: Events cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, venue closures) will be rescheduled when possible or refunded according to our standard policy.
Grand Show Cancellations: If we must cancel due to our inability to perform, you receive full refund plus compensation for reasonable non-refundable expenses.
Event Responsibilities
Client Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate event information and guest count
- Ensure appropriate venue access and setup time (minimum 2 hours for Party Polar Bear shows)
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals
- Maintain event insurance coverage
- Ensure guest safety and appropriate behavior during performances
Grand Show Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional entertainment services as contracted
- Provide trained, costumed performers for Party Polar Bear shows
- Maintain and provide equipment in excellent working condition
- Carry comprehensive business liability insurance
- Develop backup plans for potential issues
Intellectual Property
Our Trademarks:
- “Grand Show” and “Party Polar Bear” are registered trademarks
- All promotional materials, show concepts, and performance routines are copyrighted
- Client receives limited license to use event photos for personal, non-commercial purposes
Marketing Usage:
- We may use event photos and videos for marketing purposes
- Client may opt-out of marketing usage by written request
- We provide appropriate credits when using client event photos
Liability and Insurance
Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for services. We are not responsible for:
- Indirect damages, lost profits, or business interruption
- Damage caused by guests, third-party vendors, or venue staff
- Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
- Outcomes resulting from client changes or decisions
Insurance Coverage:
- Grand Show maintains comprehensive general liability insurance
- Clients responsible for their own event insurance
- Additional coverage may be required for certain venues or event types
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in British Columbia courts, with preference for mediation and arbitration when possible.
