The Polar Bear Show — Vancouver’s Most Surprising Guest
Starting rates · exact quote within 24 hours
A life-size, huggable polar bear walks into your party — and for the next half hour nobody looks at their phone (except to film the bear). Entrances, games, dancing and a photo session guests genuinely keep.
What to Expect
What actually happens at a Polar Bear Show
The entrance
The room has no idea. The music shifts, the doors open, and a polar bear strolls in — the reaction alone is worth the booking.
The interaction
High-fives, hugs, gentle games with kids, dance-offs with the brave adults. Our performer reads the crowd and keeps everyone in the moment.
The dance
Yes, the bear dances. Choose the song or let us pick — the dance floor fills every single time.
The photo session
A structured photo round so every family, table or team gets their picture with the bear before it waves goodbye.

How It Works
From booking to bear hug
Check your date
Text, call or use the form below — we confirm performer availability the same day.
Plan the surprise
We script the entrance, pick the music moment and decide who’s in on the secret (usually: almost nobody).
The bear arrives
We arrive early, change out of sight and enter exactly on cue. The handler manages music, timing and safety.
Photos & goodbye
A photo round for everyone, a big wave goodbye — and your event becomes the one people talk about.
Safety & Your Venue
Family-friendly, venue-friendly
Hundreds of shows across Metro Vancouver — daycares, ballrooms, malls and living rooms.
Professional performer
Trained in crowd work with kids and adults — gentle with toddlers, hilarious with grown-ups, never overwhelming.
A handler at every show
A second team member manages timing, music and space so the performer can focus entirely on your guests.
Clean, premium costume
The suit is professionally cleaned between events and genuinely photogenic — no tired mascot vibes.
Shy-kid protocol
The bear approaches slowly, lets kids come to it, and never forces interaction. Tears are rare; giggles are not.
Any venue works
Halls, offices, backyards, malls and schools. We need a small changing space nearby and about 3×3 m to perform.
Weather-proof
Indoor or outdoor, year-round. In summer heat we shorten sets and rotate breaks to keep the performer safe.
Perfect For
Events the bear loves
FAQ
Good to know
How much does the Polar Bear Show cost in Vancouver?
Pricing depends on your date, city, venue access and the moment you want to create. Starting rates are shown above, and we confirm your full quote in writing within 24 hours.
Is the show suitable for very young children?
Yes — toddlers and preschoolers are our biggest fans. The performer is trained to approach slowly and let children set the pace. For daycare-age groups we adjust the energy and keep sessions shorter.
Can the bear surprise the birthday person?
That’s the best part. We coordinate secretly with one contact person, time the entrance to the second, and the reaction video becomes the highlight of the party.
How much space does the show need?
About 3×3 metres for the performance plus a private changing spot nearby (a bedroom, office or hallway works). We’ve performed in living rooms and in ballrooms.
What about the Duo Polar Bear Show?
Two bears, double the chaos — ideal for 60+ guests, malls and big venues. See the Duo Polar Bear Show page for pricing from $449.
Can we add effects to the show?
Yes — bubbles during the dance is the most-booked combo for kids ($79 add-on), and confetti for the finale works brilliantly at bigger parties.
What does the performer need from us on the day?
Very little: the costume stands about 2.3 m tall, so we need a doorway-accessible route into the room, a small private space to change in, and a speaker we can plug into (or we bring our own). We arrive early enough that guests never see the bear “out of character”.
